Colombo, Sri Lanka – October 15, 2025:

XpressJobs (Pvt) Ltd has officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Industrial Management Science Students’ Association (IMSSA) of the University of Kelaniya, marking a strategic collaboration that strengthens the bridge between academia and industry while expanding career access for Sri Lankan undergraduates.

The MoU signing took place at the University of Kelaniya, where Dr. Amila Withanaarachchi, Senior Treasurer of the Industrial Management Science Students’ Association, signed on behalf of the university and Ms Illakiya Rajendran, Manager – HR & Operations, represented XpressJobs, participated and signed the agreement on behalf of the company.

Under this partnership, XpressJobs will serve as the “Official Recruitment Partner” for Exposition Issue 21 and Industrial Week 2025/26, two flagship initiatives organized by IMSSA under the Department of Industrial Management at the University of Kelaniya.

Exposition is an annual business and technology magazine themed this year as “A Thought Leader in Digital Transformation.” It serves as a platform that bridges Management and IT through thought leadership, expert insights, and emerging business trends. Complementing the publication, Industrial Week is a major annual event featuring workshops, panel discussions, and the Industrial Week Career Fair, designed to promote industry engagement and enhance employability among undergraduates.

In addition to Exposition and Industrial Week, IMSSA also organizes programs such as hackX and hackX Jr., outbound training programs, fundraising events, and CSR projects, all contributing to the professional and personal growth of its members.

As part of this collaboration, XpressJobs and IMSSA have also signed an MoU to integrate XpressJobs’ live job feed directly into the Exposition website (www.exposition.lk/careers )

allowing students to explore real-time vacancies across key disciplines such as Project Management, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain & Logistics, and IT & Software. This integration aligns with the objectives of Industrial Week by offering students continuous access to industry-relevant opportunities and enabling employers to connect with emerging university talent more effectively.

XpressJobs’ decision to partner with IMSSA reflects its strategic focus on youth engagement and commitment to empowering the next generation of professionals. The company recognizes that initiatives like Exposition and Industrial Week are vital in cultivating employability, innovation, and industry readiness among Sri Lankan graduates.

This collaboration reaffirms XpressJobs’ mission to support Sri Lanka’s youth by creating pathways to meaningful employment and fostering stronger collaboration between education and industry.
