Q: We’ve seen you on stage, on video and delivering programs with a lot of enthusiasm, tell us; where does all that energy come from?
Honestly it’s all starts with the fact that I absolutely love what I do! While in my personal life I can be quite introverted, when it comes to work it’s like a switch goes off in my head and this extrovert in me just it comes out to play! Apart from that I also love bouncing off the energy of the group. I’ve experienced that you can influence and change the energy of a group of people if your own personal vibration is positive or strong enough. Plus the copious amounts of coffee and my hype music playlist helps a lot!
Q: We’ve seen you move into more Podcast related video content recently was that a conscious shift?
I wouldn’t call it a shift it was more like a natural expansion of my areas of expertise. I’ve always felt that my purpose was to help people change the way they see the world at least a little bit through any sort of interaction that I have with them. and most recently with all the video content that’s been coming out I felt it was a great way to reach a larger audience. of course it’s been tough managing the training programs, events, video shoots as well as studio recordings, but you know what I absolutely love being able to do it all!
Q: In terms of corporate training could you give us your top 3 programs that have been heavily requested by clients?
I do run several specialized programs but these 3 have been my favourites to run

Q: and if you had to pick which of these would be your most rewarding one to run?
I’m going to have to say the three day Train the Trainer program. There’s nothing more amazing than seeing a pool of employees who have regular jobs evolving into individuals who are capable of; identifying training needs, crafting an adult learning experience and then delivering it in an engaging way to their own organization. Not to mention the cost savings for an organization in creating their own internal trainer pool.
Q: Since of late with changes in the industry like flexible work environments and the migration of lots of skilled talent, how do you think the Training & Development, Human Resources and Talent Management functions of organisations have responded?
Training, HR, and Talent Management have been working overtime to keep up with the changes in how we work and the talent crunch. They are constantly looking for new ways to keep everyone connected as well as engaged, and gone all-in on finding top talent. And they’ve been making a strong case for more resources to keep things running smoothly.
Thanks to their efforts, these departments have reinforced their status as essential players in making sure companies stay ahead of the curve.
Q: Finally what are your thoughts on the importance of Training and Development in Sri Lanka?
If we are being completely honest I think the requirement for employee development is now more needed than ever. Most organizations have experienced a shift in the makeup of their employees due to recent migrations, and this means that more focus is needed to ensure that all new members who come on board are at the same frequency that the organization requires. Honestly I’m very fortunate to work with clients and partners who understand this and are comfortable spending the time co-creating development experiences to suit their specific needs.
