Reinforcing its position as one of the leading hygienic disposable manufacturers in Sri Lanka and reaffirming its commitment to quality, Global Consumer Products (Pvt) Ltd. (GCP) has received the ISO 9001:2015 certification from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI).

Global Consumer Products (Pvt) Ltd. holds the unique distinction of being the only manufacturer in Sri Lanka producing soft tissues, oxo-biodegradable, LDPE and HDPE garbage bags, and food care products certified by Sri Lanka Standards Institution (ISO 9001:2015 QMS Certified by SLSI). The company has set the gold standard in the industry, backed by a remarkable legacy spanning over four decades of excellence and compliance.

Further ensuring product quality and compliance, each imported soft paper shipment is certified by Bureau Veritas before release to the market — verifying parameters such as pH value, Disintegration, and other quality standards. In addition, GCP’s FLEXEE cling film range & GUARDIAN Aluminium Foil are certified by the Industrial Technology Institute (ITI) and holds the prestigious KOSHER certification, underscoring the company’s unwavering commitment to international quality benchmarks.

Head of manufacturing – GCP, Mr. Mohideen Saajith, stated:

The ISO 9001:2015 certification recognises our commitment to providing top-tier products that meet customer requirements and enhance customer satisfaction. Our proven track record reflects our consistent focus on process management, resource optimisation, and rigorous internal controls — all aimed at ensuring the delivery of high-quality products. Our achievements in quality assurance are a direct result of our relentless pursuit of excellence throughout the organisation. Quality isn’t merely a choice for us; it is ingrained in our corporate culture.

Managing Director, Mr. I. L. Dawood, added:

With our culture of excellence and commitment to innovation, we have set and maintained high standards — not only for our products but also in our approach to business. Looking ahead, our commitment to quality remains steadfast. We will continue to enhance our product portfolio, introducing new and improved solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Our global reach will continue to expand, and our strategic partnerships will grow even stronger.

GCP is a multifaceted company specialising in the manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of a wide range of innovative, hygienic, and eco-friendly products under leading brands such as FINEX, ECO SACK, GUARDIAN, and FLEXEE. The company caters to both commercial and domestic markets and also operates as a bespoke contract manufacturer.

With a dedicated workforce of over 150 employees and a client base exceeding 1,000 customers, GCP serves a diverse clientele across corporate, retail, and household sectors. In addition to its strong industrial and commercial presence, GCP continues to stand as a benchmark of success, built upon a foundation of quality and innovation
