Colombo, Sri Lanka – October 13, 2025 – The Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2025, held on October 10–11 at the Temple Trees Convention Centre in Colombo, marked a significant milestone in the nation’s journey towards a skill-driven economy. Organized by the Tourism Industry Skills Council (TISC) in collaboration with other Industry Sector Skills Councils (ISSCs) and supported by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education, the event brought together educators, industry leaders, and policymakers to address the pressing need for skill development in Sri Lanka’s workforce.
The expo served as a dynamic platform for youth, educators, and employers to engage in meaningful dialogues about bridging the gap between education and employment. Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of aligning educational pathways with the evolving demands of the labor market.
