On 16 September, Cambridge hosted Cambridge in Sri Lanka: Leading the Future reaffirming a renewed commitment to island wide learners, educators, and institutions. Over 300 participants including 70+ media professionals gathered in Colombo alongside distinguished guests including Rod Smith (Group MD, International Education), Arun Rajamani (MD, South Asia), Vinay Sharma (SVP, International Education – South Asia), Zahara Ansary (Country Head, Sri Lanka & Maldives), Sarwat Reza (Country Head, Bangladesh), and Andrew Patrick (British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka).

Two dynamic panels shed light on the relevance of Cambridge in Sri Lanka, with one highlighting how Cambridge English builds confidence, competence, and career pathways, and the other on how Cambridge International Education and the other on how Cambridge International Education empowers learners and enriches futures. Sri Lanka Forward, a segment by Vinay Sharma and Zahara Ansary, outlined Cambridge International Education’s roadmap for deeper engagement in the country, as it has already surpassed the milestone of 1,000 schools across South Asia.
