Pink Eagle Holdings has appointed Malinga Sanjeewa as its new Group Head of Human Resources, bringing more than two decades of diverse human resources and people-management experience to the Group’s senior leadership team.

The appointment marks another step in Sanjeewa’s longstanding career in human resources, which has seen him work across multiple industries and organizations, building experience in strategic HR management, organizational development, talent management, employee engagement and leadership development.

Sanjeewa is a seasoned Human Resources and People Operations professional with comprehensive experience in end-to-end HR management. His career has extended across telecommunications, hospitality, BPO and manufacturing, giving him exposure to a wide range of workforce environments and organizational challenges.

His professional journey began outside the traditional HR function, before his growing interest in organizational dynamics, talent development and employee relations led him towards a career in human resources. Over the years, he gained experience with organizations including Dialog, Pegasus and Ramada by Wyndham, among others. This cross-industry exposure has contributed to his understanding of workforce planning, people management and organizational development.

Prior to joining Pink Eagle Holdings, Sanjeewa served as Cluster Head of Human Resources at SAS Creative, where he led the HR and Administration function. His responsibilities covered key areas of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, payroll, performance management and employee engagement.

His experience at SAS Creative also reflected a broader approach to people management, with Sanjeewa involved in building and supporting teams across a range of professional functions. His LinkedIn activity shows his involvement in recruitment and talent acquisition across areas including design, marketing, finance and creative services.

Throughout his career, Sanjeewa has demonstrated a particular interest in the changing nature of work and the evolving role of HR. In a 2025 interview with HRNews.lk, he highlighted the growing importance of skills-based hiring, continuous learning, employee retention and the need for organizations to balance technology with the human element of human resources.

He has also spoken about the changing expectations of employers and employees, emphasising that formal qualifications are increasingly complemented by practical experience, adaptability, problem-solving capabilities and a willingness to continuously learn.

At Pink Eagle Holdings, Sanjeewa will take on responsibility for the Group’s human resources function as part of its senior management team. According to Pink Eagle Holdings, his role will contribute to shaping the Group’s people strategy while supporting its continued growth and organizational transformation.

His appointment brings together extensive HR experience with a broad understanding of different industries and workforce environments. It also comes at a time when organizations are placing increasing emphasis on talent development, leadership capability, employee engagement and building future-ready workforces.

Pink Eagle Holdings has welcomed Sanjeewa to the Group and expressed confidence in his leadership and contribution to its continued growth and success.

With more than 20 years of professional experience and a career shaped by exposure to diverse sectors, Malinga Sanjeewa now takes on a broader leadership mandate at Pink Eagle Holdings, where his experience in people strategy and organizational development will form an important part of his new role.
