HUTCH brought the curtain down on Season 4 of its Kahawanu Udanaya retailer partners rewards programme with a grand event at Waters Edge, bringing in top-most performing retailers from across the country.
Since the programme’s launch in 2022 with an initial 100 retailers and LKR 15 million in rewards in its first season, it has rapidly scaled to one of the most extensive retailer engagement programmes in the retail sector, now reaching over 10,000 retailer partners nationwide. Over LKR 200 million in rewards has been awarded by Season 4.
Season 4 produced some of the programme’s biggest awards yet. Twenty retailers crossed the millionaire mark, each walking away with prizes valued at Rs 1 million or more. The standout moments included a retailer winning a cash reward of LKR 2 million, another taking home eight gold coins, and another taking home four gold coins. In total, 447 gold coins were awarded. Three retailers took home top of the range motorbikes, including EV bikes.
The event proved the inclusiveness of the programme, with retailer partners participating from every district across Sri Lanka. Kahawanu Udanaya provides a platform for them to be recognized and rewarded for their contributions, and these retailers remain the driving force behind HUTCH’s success, strengthening connections with communities nationwide. For HUTCH, the programme is not just about recognition. It reflects the company’s continued investment in the retailer partner ecosystem for the value they drive across the country.
Our retailer partners are at the forefront in the marketplace taking our innovations to the people all across the nation
said Tharindu Wijerathne, Chief Sales Officer, HUTCH Sri Lanka. “Kahawanu Udanaya is our way of recognizing our wide network of partnerships, and in turn reflects the trust our retailers place in us every day. Season 4 has been our biggest yet, and it is a reflection of how far this programme is driving community impact and shared success.”
HUTCH has confirmed an exciting 5th edition of the programme, keeping rewards flowing and community growing.
