Celebrating Women’s Day at Hemas Pharma: Honoring Strength, Success, and Empowerment
On March 7th 2025, Hemas Pharma came together to celebrate International Women’s Day, recognizing the contribution of Women at Hemas Pharma, towards the success of the company, industry & society. This year’s theme #Accelerate Action guided our event as we highlighted the importance of focusing on the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality, diversity, equity and the incredible contributions women make every day.
A Day of Inspiration and Reflection
The celebration kicked off at Hotel Galadari with a heartfelt session by Ms. Subodhanie Dissanayake renowned Well -Being Instructor on “Accelerate Action”, emphasized the importance of the role of the women, in fostering a supportive family and society with values. Her very thought-provoking session brining in concepts from Anthropology and Psychology touched the hearts of the audience.
Meaningful Conversations and Insights on Women’s Health, Wellness and Diversity
The event featured an insightful session conducted by Dr. Chinthaka Banagala, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist on key health issues faced by women. Chathurani Kulatunga, Senior Manager Wellness, Diversity and Inclusion of Hemas Group delivered an interesting session on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at work.
An energizing session was conducted by Savithry Shani , Professional Aerobics , Zumba and Yoga Instructor to address the importance of maintaining good health to drive a productive day and work life balance throughout the day.
While Women’s Day is a time to celebrate, it’s also a reminder of the ongoing work needed to achieve true gender equality. We remain committed to initiatives that support women’s growth, including the opportunity for learning & development for women to shine at Hemas Pharma.
