XpressJobs, a leading recruitment technology platform, is proud to announce its partnership with the Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2024 as the “Official Local Recruitment Partner”. The event, themed “Unlock Your Future,” will take place from September 10 to 12 at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Colombo 7.

Empowering Sri Lanka’s Youth with Career Opportunities

Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2024 is designed to provide local and international career and job opportunities for students across the nation, offering a platform for the youth to explore and develop their skills. As part of this partnership, XpressJobs will play a key role in connecting job seekers with potential employers, leveraging its extensive network and advanced recruitment technology.

Drawing on nine years of recruitment data, XpressJobs provides unique insights into job market trends, including the most sought-after positions, the distribution of applications across different ethnicities and locations, and more. This data-driven approach ensures that job seekers receive opportunities that match current market demands

Event Highlights and Offerings

The Expo will feature over 40, TVEC qualified and experienced career guidance officers and counselors available to offer personalized advice and support to attendees. The event will host a diverse array of exhibitors, including:

  • Private Universities registered under the University Grants Commission (UGC)
  • Private Vocational Training Centers accredited by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) and the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA)
  • Pavilions from Foreign Missions
  • Foreign Employment Organizations registered under the Ministry of Foreign Employment
  • Industry Exhibitors showcasing products and services
  • EduTech Providers
  • Publications and Bookstalls
  • Food and Beverage Stalls

A highlight of the Expo will be the presence of the Automobile Industry Council (AIC) , Tourism Industry Skills Council (TISC), Communication Technology Industry Skills Council (ICTISC), Agriculture Sector Skills Council (ASSC), Construction Industry Skills Council (CISC). These councils will provide valuable insights into industrial training programs, share data on job vacancies, and offer opportunities for job seekers to apply on-site.

The event is open to the public free of charge, with special travel arrangements made for students and schools participating from across Sri Lanka. This initiative aims to ensure that all visitors have access to professional career counseling and guidance, helping them navigate the path to their future careers.
